A Different Part of Town, the Same Red Dirt

Z and I hit up Pill Hill late afternoon.
The name? Well, once upon a time, only Doctors lived on said hill; so it was aptly dubbed "Pill Hill."
Anyway, on this ride Z took his 1st ever digger, minus snow!!
Some scratches and such were had; and the words "I think I found out my fat tires can't ride over that big of sized rocks!!"
Spoiled little guy!! Lol
Pedal On!!

Right after crash

Everything was where it was suppose to be, and we were off again!!

Paved Trail, Gravel, More Pavedness

75 by noon.
Called home, water bottles were put in freezer..... New hydro pack bladders were put in freezer also.
We stopped at my mom and dads to drop off a pair of shorts I need to have sewed up..(i really should learn), nobody home, ok we're off.
Mesabi Trail,

Some goofing off under the highway.

Then it was another 3-4 miles before we hit the gravel.

For awhile I thought I had two gravel grinder champions with me, then a hill!!! Lol

At least they can suffer a little!! Lol
Ha Ha Ha Ha
Pedal On!!

Whitney Tailings Pond

A short distance from our house is an old mining tailings pond.
Hard red rock trails made mostly by 4 wheelers.
Soft red dust like sand. The only time this stuff firms up is after it rains, well it's rained a lot lately. Two days of upper 60's to lower 70's and it's unridable with normal tires, but super fun with the fat tires!!! Zack found out how much fun can be had in this area with his 9:zero:7. It was awesome seeing it "click" with him!! Lol
Needless to say we spent around an hour so riding in circles on a little loop the wheelers have made through the soft stuff. All in all a great way to end our day!!!
Here's some shots of "Z" rocking the red dirt!!
Peace

My favorite shot!! Lol

Kids on Bikes

Zack had his string camp finale concert this evening at the Mn. Discovery Center. After it was done we mounted up and made our way for home.
Here's 3 shots before it got dark.
Mom met up down the trail around 6 miles, and the two young ones were toast. It's been a long week.
LOL
Pedal On!!
