I'm slacking on the camera thing again!!

Saturday morning found me up at 5 a.m. out the door by 6:45; to meet up with my LBS owner Calvin  for an early morning pedal.
The morning was as  close to perfect as one can be this time of year. Crisp cool and very refreshing! 
13 some odd miles later it was time to get ready to go watch some high intensity soccer match between 8 year olds!! Lol

Later afternoonish Z and I headed out for a ride. 12 and 1/2 miles later; paved trail, gravel roads and woods, we were home. 
Pleasantly tired and ready for some cold pizza!!
Proud of ya Z!!!

A New Bike

Ha, it's not what ya think!! I'd be a dead man!!  ;)

I got a new chain and a rear cassette put on last night. 
Now this isn't the first time I've done this. 
With my old bike it was twice a year, at least.
Now you have two ways to look at that. 
1. I do shitty maintenance. Or 
2. I ride a lot!
Well, I'm not the best at maintenance, but I do it. When ones cassette is shark toothed, and chain is stretched, that's riding a lot!!

I guess what I'm saying is, I've never noticed the difference in performance of the said work I got done more than on my Pugsley!  On my other MTB it wasn't nearly as noticeable.  
Everything is sooo much smoother and almost effortless; if that can be said about pushing the big tires of the Pugsley.  

Anyway, keep the rubber side down, and Pedal On!!

Rolling the Dirt and Whatever Else I See Fit!!

After winter and fall.... Spring has to be my favorite time to "bomb" the "Fat Tires" pretty much over whatever, and wherever I choose!!
Nothing is overgrown, everything is still knocked down and begging to be pedaled over.

Today was 61 with glorious sunshine, a slight north wind..... Pretty much perfect!!!! 
Gravel roads, wheeler trails, woods with no trail, old railroad grades, in use railroad tracks; were pedaled on with that all familiar smile across my face, all thanks to my trusty Pugs!!! 

One week left to sign up for the National Bike Challenge!! What may I ask...... are you waiting for??
